This time with our youngest grandboys is a blast. Too cute, too smart, and way too active. How soon I forget the energy these little ones have. I think all the get-up-and-go-I-used-to-have-got-up-and-went-to them.
This visit, and the grand boys inexhaustible energy, has reminded me something God told His people long ago: “You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers…” (Dt. 8:18); that’s the power to get anything actually!
The Bible has a great deal to say about “remembering” His power, His energy, His everything. The obvious reason The Lord tells us to remember all His greatness is not to make us feel small, but rather confident.
And most importantly He tell us to remember Him because we forget things…and forgetting Him and His “inexhaustible everything” is the last thing we want to forget.
