“Commit Your Way”

“Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him,  and He shall bring it to pass” Psalm 37:5

We hear people, including pastors, say so many times: “This is my favorite verse in the Bible.” I have so many favorite verses throughout the Bible, I have forgotten what my favorite verse is! That was until my quiet time this morning, and I remembered my all-time favorite verse, which is the one at the top of this page. LOL. This is a dandy truth for sure, but honestly…you will probably hear me say of another verse shortly enough…this too, is my favorite.

For the record, this still is a new year.  We haven’t journeyed long in 2018 just yet. With that in mind, may I suggest we put this verse to memory this week, if we have not already done so. What a fine way to commence our year by committing our way to the Lord!

What I think of when I commit to something or someone, I think of promise or pledge. So what we are encouraged to “commit” to the Lord here…is our “way.”  Commit your “way” to the Lord! Strong’s Concordance says way means, a road trodden. Figuratively, “…a course of life or mode of action…”

May our “way” this new year of 2018, become so devoted, so promised to Him, so seamlessly His, that He cannot help but to bring it to pass, because it is His way for us.

For starters…how about committing this verse to your memory!
